Rodrigo Garcia is an experienced business development professional with experience in implementation of innovative and inclusive technology projects in private and public sectors in Honduras.


In some of his work, he has developed and deployed new telecom products and services to underserved populations in MultiFon. As Deputy Secretary of the Presidency of the GoH, he designed and coordinated the implementation of largest tech education program in the country Educatrachos [energy and internet services, cloud services infrastructure and access for national curriculum (math and spanish) digital content, remote administration and delivery of more than 80,000 notebook computers for teachers and students in ~1,500 schools]; as well as process simplification initiatives in government agencies; Lead local fintech Tengo in creating a complete digital e-wallet ecosystem focused on unbanked citizens, with more than 3,000 agents/merchants and over 250,000 e-wallet users.


Most recently he worked as a Country Business Development Consultant for the research and implementation stage of Kiva Protocol in Honduras.


Rodrigo holds a Master’s in Strategy and Innovation from the Instituto Universitario de Postgrado (Universidad de Alicante, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and Universidad Carlos III) in Spain, a Master’s in Marketing from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Tec de Monterrey) in Mexico, and a Bachelor’s in Industrial and Business Management from Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC) in Honduras.
